Meeting Brewster! | Personal
Today we met Brewster – our first ever pup! Joshua has always wanted a Schnauzer (the goatee probably has something to do with it!) so when I found a Schnauzer/Black Labrador mix on pet finder we were immediately interested. Critter Calvary Rescue New England is a wonderful organization that connects pups in need to forever homes. It was amazing to us how quickly the process went from submitting the adoption paperwork to Brewster arriving this morning.
Brewster was being fostered in Tennessee and traveled up here with a six other puppies over the past few days. He arrived tired but clearly very well cared for! After getting him home we gave him a quick bath outside, played for a while and now he is SOUND asleep from nearly twenty-hours of travel. Brewster is already almost five months old, demonstrated his fine house training abilities already to us (yahoo!) and is crate trained.
But mostly, he is just sweet. Loving, snuggly, bouncy and already surprisingly obedient. His adoption fee included neutering, a microchip, his recent vaccinations and his travel here. We can’t say enough great things about Brewster and the team that got him to us!
We DID change his name however, but Brewster already seems to be adjusting well to his new place and new name. We named him Brewster after the Brewster Inn in Cazenovia, NY where we were engaged and as well as after one of our favorite Cape Cod towns, Brewster, MA.
Thanks for reading about our newest love! We can’t wait for you all to meet him.
Cheers (and snuggles),
Caitlin & Joshua
